DESCRIPTION:DALLAS DIOCESAN KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS VOLUNTEER REQUEST\nSPECIAL OLYMPICS OF TEXAS – AQUATICS COMPETITION\nBrothers\, thank you so much for your commitment to Special Olympics. I hope that you will be able to join us for the upcoming Aquatics event. \nSaturday\, July 26\, 2025\n8 AM to 6 PM\n\nSPECIAL OLYMPICS AQUATICS COMPETITION\nLewisville ISD West Side Aquatics Center\n1750 Duncan Lane\, Lewisville TX 75067\nKnights and their spouses\, children and friends will be awarding the medals to each of the athletes. There will be one awards area (indoors) and will require 10 volunteers during each shift. Assisting the athletes of the Special Olympics is entertaining and worthwhile as well as a very rewarding experience. \nThis can serve as one of your State Council Service Program Awards necessary for the council to be awarded the prestigious Star Council Award by the Supreme Council. The women are invited to help with the handling of the medals and ribbons and the children are invited to cheer for the athletes when they receive their awards. \nShifts: \nSATURDAY\, July 26\n\nSHIFT #1 8 AM To 1:00 PM\nSHIFT #2 12:30 PM To 6 PM\n\nFeel free to work one shift or both shifts as you are able to work into your busy schedule. Any time that you can spend assisting the athletes of the Special Olympics is greatly appreciated. \nKNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS SAFE ENVIRONMENT GUIDELINES:\nWe have been informed by the Knights of Columbus Safe Environment Chair that all members of the Knights of Columbus and their family members are encouraged to assist with the upcoming Special Olympics events. All Knights that assist must be Safe Environment cleared; Family members and Non-Catholic volunteers are welcome to assist with the presentation of awards and will be paired with a Knights volunteer that has been safe environment cleared. \nPlease respond to Phil Coup\, Diocesan Coordinator for Special Olympics\, at 972-740-7309 or philcoup1@gmail.com as soon as possible. \nThanks in advance from all of the Special Olympics athletes.
