SUMMARY:KofC Free Diocesan Throw Championship
DESCRIPTION:Knights of Columbus Diocesan Free Throw Championship\nDD Kebran Alexander of District 109 is our main point of contact and the championship will be held at Bishop Dunne Catholic School in Dallas on Sunday\, February 22\, 2026. \nRegistration will begin at 11:30am.  The event will last from noon-3pm. \nOnce the competition for an age group has been completed\, no late arrivals can be accommodated.\nOnce all age groups have finished\, we will go into the awards ceremony. \n\nParticipant Information\n\n\n\nDon’t be late!!!  Registration will occur from 11:30am-12:30pm.\nThe free throw competition begins promptly at 12:45pm.\nAll participants must have the current\, valid form for this year’s competition.  Birth date that counts provides the age as of January 1\, 2026.  Once birth date has been verified\, please write “BD VERIFIED” on the top right corner of the form (Please make sure that contact information for the parent on the form is legible).\nAge groups will be scheduled once we have identified the number of participants from each group who are present and signed in by 12:30pm.\nAll winners will advance to the K of C State Free Throw Competition. DESCRIPTION:Fall 2025 DDC Meeting \nPlan to attend our Knights of Columbus Dallas Diocese Chapter Fall Meeting: \nFall 2025 DDC Meeting\nSaturday\, October 11th\n8AM Registration / 9AM Meeting \nPrince of Peace Catholic Church Parish Hall\n5100 West Plano Parkway\, Plano\, Texas 75093 \nThe Knights of Columbus of the Dallas Diocese Chapter will have our next Chapter meeting on Saturday\, October 11th at 9am in Plano. All Councils must be represented by their GK or other officer of the Council plus we are requesting that all Safe Environment Coordinators of each Council attend as well. About 80% of the agenda will be devoted to the introduction of our new Knights of Columbus Dallas Diocese Safe Environment Program. Councils will have new tools to use in implementing and tracking safe environment compliance and it will be critical for all to have a clear understanding of where we are headed. The balance of the agenda will deal with Chapter funding and diocesan program updates. There will be time at the end of the program to meet one on one with Program Directors for any input or questions. Our intention is to complete the meeting no later than noon. \nRegistration will start at 8am including doughnuts and coffee and the meeting will begin at 9am. Prince of Peace is located 1/4 mile west of Preston Rd. at 5100 Plano Parkway. Turn south off Plano Parkway onto Village Creek Drive at the traffic light and follow the road for 1/4 mile. Parking is on the right. Enter at the sign that says\, “Welcome Center” and take the hallway to the right to find the Parish Hall. \nPlease mark your calendars accordingly and forward this note to your Council Safe Environment Coordinator. \nWe look forward to a lively and productive meeting and a great opportunity share some time with our Brothers throughout the Diocese.

DESCRIPTION:Knights of Columbus District Free Throw Championship\nThe District championship will be held at St. Joseph Catholic High School 600 S Jupiter Rd\, Richardson\, TX 75081 on Saturday\, February 8\, 2025. \nRegistration will begin at 2:30pm.  The event will last from 3:00pm-5:30pm.\n\nOnce the competition for an age group has been completed\, no late arrivals can be accommodated.\nOnce all age groups have finished\, we will go into the awards ceremony.\n\nWe will have a need for Brother Knights to assist in running the contest.  They must be SEP cleared.

DESCRIPTION:Diocesan Organizational Meeting\nThe Diocese of Dallas will have our Diocesan Org. Meeting on Saturday July 20\, 2024. The meeting will be held once again at St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church\, 950 Trails Parkway in Garland beginning promptly at 8:30 am. Set up and registration will begin at 7:15 am. It is our plan to be done by 12:30 pm with lunch to be provided at the conclusion of the meeting. \nThis is an opportunity for the State to present their plans for all councils and the Dallas Diocesan team to also present the programs critical to our success in the upcoming year. Please advise and strongly encourage all Council GK’s\, FS’s\, DGK’s as well as any member of the councils in good standing to attend. This will be the membership’s opportunity to hear firsthand what is going to take place over the course of the year! \nWith less than a month to go in this Fraternal year\, the Diocese of Dallas has had tremendous success thanks to the hard and smart work by everyone on this email. That said\, none of our success could be accomplished without the great work and efforts of the Councils! They make it happen day in and day out! Because of their efforts\, we exceeded our goals in both Membership and Charity. We have several Star Districts which mean there are quite a few Star Councils. We have a New Council in the Diocese that will hit the Century Mark in Membership by the end of June! We continue to lead the Order in The American Wheelchair Mission. As the saying goes\, “Where there is a need\, there is a Knight” and the members in the Diocese of Dallas exemplify this all the time! This organizational Meeting will also be our time to say THANK YOU!!!!!!! \nThere is still some work to do to close the year out.
