I hope to see you there. \nFraternally\, Phil Coup \n\nDALLAS DIOCESAN KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS VOLUNTEER REQUEST\nSPECIAL OLYMPICS OF TEXAS –  AQUATICS COMPETITION\nSaturday\, August 19\, 2023\n  \nSPECIAL OLYMPICS AQUATICS COMPETITION\nGarland ISD Natatorium\n2585 Firewheel Pkwy\, Garland\, TX 75040 \nSATURDAY – August 19\, 2019 FROM 8AM TO 5PM \nKnights and their spouses\, children and friends will be awarding the medals to each of the athletes.  There will be two awards areas (indoors) and will require 15 volunteers during each shift. Assisting the athletes of the Special Olympics is entertaining and worthwhile as well as a very rewarding experience. \nThis can serve as one of your State Council Service Program Awards necessary for the council to be awarded the prestigious Star Council Award by the Supreme Council. The women are invited to help with the handling of the medals and ribbons and the children are invited to cheer for the athletes when they receive their awards. \nShifts: \nSATURDAY\, August 19\nSHIFT #1    8 AM To 12:30 PM\nSHIFT #2    12 Noon To 5 PM  \nFeel free to work one shift or both shifts as you are able to work into your busy schedule. Any time that you can spend assisting the athletes of the Special Olympics is greatly appreciated. \nKNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS SAFE ENVIRONMENT GUIDELINES:\nWe have been informed by the Knights of Columbus Safe Environment Chair that all members of the Knights of Columbus and their family members are encouraged to assist with the upcoming Special Olympics events.  All volunteers that do assist should be Safe Environment cleared; otherwise\, they will be paired with a volunteer that has been cleared.  Non-Catholic volunteers are welcome to assist with the presentation of awards and will be paired with a volunteer that has been safe environment cleared. \nPlease respond to Phil Coup\, Diocesan Coordinator for Special Olympics\, at 972-740-7309 or philcoup1@gmail.com as soon as possible. \nThanks in advance from all of the Special Olympics athletes.

I hope that you will be able to join us for the upcoming Track and Field event. \nDALLAS DIOCESAN KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS VOLUNTEER REQUEST \nSPECIAL OLYMPICS OF TEXAS – AREA 10 TRACK and FIELD COMPETITION \nAPRIL 28 – 29\, 2023 \nSPECIAL OLYMPICS Track and Field COMPETITION \nCedar Hill High School Stadium\n1 Longhorn Drive\, Cedar Hill\, TX 75104-3740 \nFRIDAY – April 28\, 2023 FROM 5:30PM TO 8 PM \nSATURDAY – April 29\, 2023 FROM 9AM TO 5PM \nBrother Knights will be in charge of the awarding of medals. This is an outdoor event and spouses\, children\, and friends are welcome. It is a great opportunity for families to attend. Women are invited to help with the handling of the medals and children are invited to cheer for the athletes as they enter the awards area and receive their awards. Assisting the athletes of the Special Olympics is entertaining and worthwhile as well as a very rewarding experience. \nFRIDAY\, April 28 SHIFT #1 5:30PM TO 8PM \nSATURDAY\, April 29 SHIFT #1 9 AM TO 1PM \nSHIFT #2 12:30PM to 5PM \nThere will be one awards area on Friday and two on Saturday\, so we will need lots of help. Feel free to work one shift or as many shifts as you are able to work into your busy schedule. Any time that you can spend assisting the athletes of the Special Olympics is greatly appreciated. \nKNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS SAFE ENVIRONMENT GUIDELINES: \nWe have been informed by the Knights of Columbus Safe Environment Chair that all members of the Knights of Columbus and their family members are encouraged to assist with the upcoming Special Olympics events. All volunteers that do assist should be Safe Environment cleared; otherwise\, they will be paired with a volunteer that has been cleared.
