Diocesan Deputies and several of the DD’s\, I have decided that the Mid-Year Meeting will be held Virtually and NOT in person. The meeting will continue to be held on Saturday January 23 and begin at 9:00. I have discussed my decision with our State Deputy and he is understanding and in agreement. The health of our membership is and will remain paramount. \nI am working with Jorge Ruiz to finalize the details of the GoToMeeting platform (download it now) that we will use. The platform allows for up to 250 people attend and participate. I will ask that if you have material to present\, you email me as soon as possible. We will set up a format for presentation. \nOnce everything is ironed out\, I will forward the details of the meeting to you and to the District Deputies to pass on to GK’s and Councils. As District Deputy\, you need to: \n\nunderstand your duties and responsibilities\nmake charitable works the focus of each council in your district\nengage council officers in the Order’s initiatives\nencourage team building among council officers\npool resources with other councils in your district on larger initiatives\nensure the councils are the “go-to guys” for parish pastors\nmake it a priority for councils to invite all eligible Catholic men to join\n\nDistrict Deputy Check-In \nThe training is an inter-active\, open discussion on best practices for growing your District. You will: \n\nunderstand the importance of knowing your numbers\nlearn how to use your resources effectively\nengage in a practical and useful Goal Setting exercise\nbuild your own OKR worksheet\nhave an opportunity to share your story and best practices with other District Deputies from the Western Territory\n\nAll Training is presented by the Regional Training Director using the “GoToMeeting” online platform.
