Brothers, thank you for your great help and support for Special Olympics. I am excited to tell you that Special Olympics is resuming their Bowling event this year after a two year absence. It will be at the same facility in Garland that we have used in the past, although the name has changed to Bowlero Garland. Here are the dates and shifts.

WEDNESDAY, November 9 10:00AM TO 1:30PM (1 SHIFT)
THURSDAY, November 10: 10:00AM TO 1:30PM (1 SHIFT)
FRIDAY, November 11: 10:00AM TO 1:30PM (1 SHIFT)

SATURDAY, November 12: 9:00AM TO 1:30 PM; 1:00 TO 6:00PM (2 SHIFTS)

MONDAY, November 14: 10:00AM TO 1:30PM (1 SHIFT)
TUESDAY, November 15: 10;00AM TO 1:30PM (1 SHIFT)
WEDNESDAY, November 16: 10:00AM TO 1:30PM (1 SHIFT)

THE KNIGHTS WILL ASSIST MR. DWAYNE LOVELL WITH THE PRESENTATION OF THE AWARDS TO THE ATHLETES. Each shift should be comprised of 15 or more volunteers to keep the movement of the athletes in an orderly fashion. We will be presenting the awards at two stations inside the bowling lanes as we did in the past. You are welcome to help during one or more shifts on Saturday and as many days as you can fit into your busy schedules.

This is a great family event. Women are invited to help with the handling of the medals and ribbons and teenage children are welcome to help bring the athletes up to the awards stations. It is a good opportunity for them to earn volunteer hours. Only the Knights will assist in the presentation of the awards to the athletes unless we are blessed with some celebrities.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS SAFE ENVIRONMENT GUIDELINES:
We have been informed by the Knights of Columbus Safe Environment Chair all members of the Knights of Columbus and their family members are encouraged to assist with the upcoming Special Olympics events. All volunteers that do assist should be Safe Environment cleared; otherwise, they will be paired with a volunteer that has been cleared. Non-Catholic volunteers are welcome to assist with the presentation of awards and will be paired with a volunteer that has been safe environment cleared.
