About the Dallas Diocese Chapter (DDC)
The Dallas Diocese Chapter is the collective entity that represents all Councils of the Knights of Columbus Dallas Diocese as a whole:
- It supports the work of the Dallas Diocesan Deputy and his team to further the work and principles of the Knights in Dallas.
- Provides a platform to organize, communicate and track Diocesan programs and projects.
- Builds and maintains digital tools to communicate information, transact business and to support Safe Environment compliance.
- Creates and executes dedicated Diocesan Knights of Columbus events.
- Conducts periodic meetings to promote communication, fellowship, networking and education.
Funding is required for the annual operating expenses of website maintenance, advertising, safe environment training/operating, diocesan meeting expenses, awards and other miscellaneous expenses. The state convention does provide monetary support, but is limited to a period of every three years. The Clergy Appreciation Dinner income is limited.
At the October 12th, 2024 it was agreed upon to start collecting Chapter Dues from our Councils.
The Annual Chapter Dues date has been set to December 1st.
Meeting the need for funding was presented on a per council basis following the suggested levels:
