Dallas District Deputy / Field Agent Meeting Recap
Worthy Dallas Field Agent Team and District Deputy Team,
I very much enjoyed and appreciated meeting everyone last Wednesday, September 23 in General Agent Ben Budia’s office. In addition to myself and Ben, we had all 8 Dallas Field Agents and 12 of our 14 District Deputies able to attend. I felt we had a productive meeting and are going to work well together this Fraternal year!
Our Founders Award criteria have significantly changed. Now we will need to report field agent / associate member meetings = to the council membership goal. The range is 5 – 15 meetings depending on the size of the council. As we discussed, it seems the biggest hurdle to overcome this year is communication. General Agent Ben has developed a web site with a Q code for any member to request a meeting with a field agent. This will be especially useful for those councils without a field agent assigned yet. I expect that this should be printed and available at all CUF’s moving forward in the Dallas Diocese (see attachment). We also have a goal to bring new e-members into councils with the online CUF if they cannot attend a live CUF within the first two weeks after contact. In addition, the District Deputies / Grand Knights do not know when the agents meet with associate members. So, to help with this, General Agent Ben is developing a concise reporting form that the agent will complete after each field consultation. This form will identify the member, their council, and the date of the meeting. When submitted this will go to the General Agent and Diocesan Deputy. The goal is to have this available by October 15. If this works as we anticipate, it will be modified to triage to the correct District deputy moving forward. This information will be forwarded to the Grand Knights where they will enter the agent / associate member meetings into the online form 11077 in Officers Online. Ideally, the Grand Knights will have a strong relationship with their Field Agent so their reporting will be real time. We plan to meet again in about three months to see how our new collaboration plans are going.
