Bishop Lynch Lady Friars Capture The Title In the 2025 Bob Stras Memorial Basketball Tournament
The 62nd Annual Knights of Columbus Bob Stras Memorial HS Basketball Tournament concluded on Saturday December 6th at both Bishop Lynch High School and Jesuit Dallas. Eight Boys Teams competed at Jesuit and 8 Girls Teams played at Bishop Lynch concurrently on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.The Tournament is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus of the Dallas Diocese each year and it has become a staple among the Dallas area pre-season high school tournaments.
On the girls side, after three days of competition, Bishop Lynch triumphed in the championship game over Colleyville Heritage. Other schools competing in the Tournament included Ursuline Academy, Greenhill, Houston Episcopal, Houston Second Baptist, Irving Nimitz and The Village School.The Bishop Lynch girls went undefeated on their way to capturing the title! The MVP of the Girls bracket was Fre Vowels, a 5’7” Senior from Bishop Lynch.

In the Boys division, the Sachse Mustangs triumphed over the Grand Prairie Gophers in a hard fought championship game.The Most Valuable Player of the Boys bracket was Jordon Anderson-Urune, a 6 foot Senior from Sachse High School. Our host school, Jesuit Dallas, finished 4th out of 8 teams. Other teams participating included Hillcrest High School, Lake Worth, St. Mark’s School, Santa Fe (Galveston) and Amarillo Tascosa.

The 63rd Knights of Columbus Bob Stras Memorial will take place on December 3rd, 4th and 5th, 2026.
