Dallas Regional Free Throw Contest
A great turnout at Bishop Dunne High School for the February 17, 2019 Dallas Regional Free Throw Contest. The competition which started at 2 PM pm at the Bishop Dunne gym included the following categories:
- 9 Year olds – Boys and Girls
- 10 Year olds – Boys and Girls
- 11 Year olds – Boys and Girls
- 12 Year olds – Boys and Girls
- 13 Year olds – Boys and Girls
- 14 Year olds – Boys and Girls
We had 17 girls and 31 boys compete in this year’s event.
Many thanks go out to Assistant Principal and Athletic Director of Bishop Dunne, Steve Guerrero who has once again generously hosted this event.
Thanks also to brother knights: DDs Ed Diaz, Mike Steffens, Dan Stoffel, Jack Ayers for volunteering to be judges. Many thanks also to DD Andy Goza who volunteered as MC.
A big thanks also goes out to several local councils 8157, 12484, 17111 who supplied volunteers to be scorekeepers, and shag balls.
Diocesan Deputy, Roy Rabenaldt awarded medals to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each age group of 9yrs – 14yrs.
Dallas is proud to be sending 12 terrific contestants to San Antonio to compete in the State competition on Saturday, March 2nd.
