Knights on parade

Here are a few photos from a great Knights event. The largest Independence Day Parade in Texas is in Arlington, Texas. (Look it up). This 2 1/2 mile parade started in 1965. The Knights of Columbus are the only entrant to have marched in this parade every year for the past 60 years!!!

Last year, only 8 Knights marched. So Kevin McGillis sent a “Please, Please, Please” note and the Knights showed up in force. Over 30 Knights were there to carry the BIG American Flag. And 3 of us from Prince of Peace were there to represent. Chants of “USA, USA, USA” broke out as we carried and waved and smiled. I know that 3 of us will be returning next year.
