AREA 10 BASKETBALL COMPETITION
Brothers, thank you for your strong commitment and support of Special Olympics. I hope that you will be able to help us with the upcoming basketball events. We will need extra help on Feb 22 because 3 locations are being used.
Saturday, Feb 22; Basketball Tournament
Three sites in Grand Prairie (Exact locations TBD)
Shift #1: 11AM – 2:30PM Shift #2: 2:00PM – 6PM
15 Men needed per shift
Tues Mar 4, Mon Mar 10, Tues Mar 11, Wed Mar 12 – North Basketball Skills

This event will be handled by Council 8157 (Jim Kowalski)
THE KNIGHTS WILL HANDLE THE PRESENTATION OF THE AWARDS TO THE ATHLETES.
Assisting the athletes is entertaining and worthwhile as well as a very rewarding experience.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS SAFE ENVIRONMENT GUIDELINES:
We have been informed by the Knights of Columbus Safe Environment Chair all members of the Knights of Columbus and their family members are encouraged to assist with the upcoming Special Olympics events. All volunteers that do assist should be Safe Environment cleared; otherwise, they will be paired with a volunteer that has been cleared. Non-Catholic volunteers are welcome to assist with the presentation of awards and will be paired with a volunteer that has been safe environment cleared.
This event will be another enjoyable and rewarding experience and can be used as one of the service programs toward your Star Council and Wings Awards.
