Fr. Bass and Brother Knights,
Our Lady of Angels Council 13044, in Allen and the Dallas Diocese, held a very successful 8th Annual Wheelchair Sunday over the past two weekends. They collected $27,404 at the Masses, plus $4,000 was received online and by mail, for a total of $31,404 for 209 wheelchairs. This exceeds by over $3K, the most they had ever raised in a fraternal year.
Since it is estimated that each wheelchair delivered changes and improves an average of 10 lives, they will impact the lives of 2,090 people!
Their funds will go towards providing a large container of 280 wheelchairs for the Alcapulco, Mexico CRIT Center.
There were 6 Our Lady of Guadalupe lithographs given to donors of $500 or more.
Thank you so much to Fr. Wade Bass for his awesome support and to Brother Brad Meyer for coordinating the event all 8 years, helping at all the masses and reading the pulpit talk. Thanks also to Brad’s daughter, Morgan, who again read the pulpit talks with her Dad. Many thanks to the Our Lady of Angels parishioners for their kindness and generosity in providing all these life changing gifts of mobility. God bless all of you.
Sincerely,
Bill Weber
Texas Wheelchair Chairman
