St. Joseph Wheelchair Sunday
Father James and Brother Knights,
Waxahachie St. Joseph’s Council #8417, in the Dallas Diocese, held a successful 6th Wheelchair Sunday over the weekend. They collected $10,354, plus received $12,300 before the weekend, for a total raised of $22,654 for 151 wheelchairs. This is the most they have ever raised in a fraternal year.
Since it is estimated that each wheelchair delivered changes and improves an average of 10 lives, they will impact the lives of 1,510 people! Their funds will go towards providing a large container of 280 wheelchairs for the Hidalgo CRIT Center in Mexico.
There were 5 Our Lady of Guadalupe lithographs given out to donors of $500 or more.
Thank you so much to Fr. James Yamauchi for his awesome support again this year by reading the pulpit talk at all 4 Masses. Thanks also to Grand Knight Eric Valdez for coordinating the event and to the other Brother Knights that helped, especially Brother Richard Stone. And many thanks to the St. Joseph parishioners for their kindness and generosity in providing all these life changing gifts of mobility for children in need. God bless all of you.
Blessings,
Bill Weber
Texas Wheelchair Chairman

Dear Fr. James and Brother Knights,
Thank you so much for your continuing support of our life-changing mission.
We are so blessed to have your wonderful parish as a part of our mission to answer the prayers of families in need of mobility.
Each child who receives a wheelchair can attend school and become a part of society and family life. Their dreams and hope for a better future are realized because of the generosity in the hearts of your parishioners.
Thank you for joining us in living the Gospel and doing God’s work on earth.
Most sincerely,
Chris
