Texas Wheelchair Mission

Texas Brother Knights,

Attached is the report of the Wheelchair Mission Donations by Diocese and Council received as of December 31, 2024. Thank you and God bless you to the 153 Councils and 1 Assembly that donated a total of $519,739 for 3,464 wheelchairs in the first half of the fraternal year.

Since it is estimated that each wheelchair delivered changes and improves an average of 10 lives, you will impact the lives of 34,640 people. At this time last fraternal year, the donations received were $459,131 for 3,061 wheelchairs.

Although the donations are ahead of last fraternal year’s pace, but please do not let up. Texas is trying to exceed the jurisdiction record of $1,239,052 for 8,260 wheelchairs set in 2023-2024.

The goal for District Deputies is to have all their Councils participate in the Wheelchair Program by donating at least $150 for one wheelchair and have at least one of their Councils hold a Wheelchair Sunday.

Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person.

Please make checks payable to American Wheelchair Mission and include the attached donation form in your mailing. To donate online, please visit amwheelchair.org/donateand select “Knights of Columbus” in the Campaign field and enter your Council Number in the Organization/Council field.
