Texas Wheelchair Mission

Brother Knights,

Attached is the report of the Wheelchair Mission Donations by Diocese and Council received as of April 30, 2025. Thank you and God bless you to the 200 Councils and 4 Assemblies that donated a total of $1,278,734 for 8,525 wheelchairs.

Since it is estimated that each wheelchair delivered changes and improves an average of 10 lives, you will impact the lives of 85,250 people! With two months left in the fraternal year, this already exceeds the jurisdiction record of $1,239,052 for 8,260 wheelchairs set last fraternal year.

The goal for District Deputies is to have all their Councils participate in the Wheelchair Program by donating at least $150 for one wheelchair and have at least one of their Councils hold a Wheelchair Sunday. Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person.

If you would like to witness a Wheelchair Sunday being held, listed below are the ones that Brian Nelson, or myself, will be helping at:

  1. May 3-4 – Santo Nino Council 15343, San Antonio (Brian)
  2. May 3-4 – Holy Family of Nazareth Council 5243, Irving (Bill)
  3. May 17-18 – San Angelo Council 2136, San Angelo (Brian)
  4. May 17-18 – St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Council 7850, Plano (Bill)
  5. May 24-25 – St. Michael the Archangel Council 10523, Grand Prairie (Bill)
