A Call to Support Our Catholic Priests at Parkland Hospital
Brother Knights,
The Catholic priests who serve the faithful at Parkland Hospital in Dallas provide an invaluable ministry—celebrating Mass, bringing the Eucharist to patients, offering the Sacraments, and providing spiritual comfort to those who are sick and their families.
These priests also need proper liturgical vestments to celebrate Mass with the dignity and reverence that the Holy Sacrifice deserves. As Knights of Columbus, we have a wonderful opportunity to support this important ministry.
We respectfully ask local Knights of Columbus councils to consider making a donation toward the purchase of vestments for the priests serving the Catholic community at Parkland Hospital.
Every contribution, large or small, helps.
Donations can be made through the Knights of Columbus Dallas website:

Thank you for your generosity and for helping ensure that Christ’s presence and the beauty of the Catholic faith continue to be brought to those who need it most.
Vivat Jesus!

Dear Reed,
On behalf of Catholic Ministry at Parkland, thank you for your generous $2,000 pledge to support our hospital ministry. Your generosity helps us bring Christ’s presence, the sacraments, and compassionate pastoral care to patients and families during some of life’s most difficult moments.
As mentioned, I have been identifying beautiful, affordable vestments and Mass supplies that are appropriate and pleasing to both of our priests. Once the funds are distributed, we would appreciate the flexibility to select and purchase these items directly so we can be good stewards of your gift and meet the ministry’s specific needs.
Our Ministry by the Numbers:
- Each month, Catholic Ministry at Parkland provides approximately:
- 250 Anointings of the Sick
- 3–5 Emergency Baptisms
- Care for families welcoming 50+ babies born each day
- Two weekly Masses, plus Masses on Holy Days
- 300+ pastoral visits and encounters with patients and families
Behind every number is a person, a patient seeking the sacraments, a family facing an unexpected crisis, a new parent welcoming a child, or someone simply needing to know they are not alone.
Your support makes it possible for us to be there.
We would love for you to join us for Wednesday Mass and lunch and experience this ministry firsthand. It would be our privilege to welcome you, introduce you to our ministry, and share the impact of your support. Please let me know which Wenseday works best for you.
Thank you for partnering with us in bringing the presence and comfort of Christ to those who are sick, vulnerable, and in need.
With gratitude and prayers,
Marilena Carrera
