St. John Nepomucene Wheelchair Weekend

Father John,

St. John Nepomucene Council #1353 in Ennis held a successful Wheelchair Sunday over the weekend of August 29 & 30, 2026. They collected $12,315 for 82 wheelchairs.

Since it is estimated that each wheelchair delivered changes and improves an average of 10 lives, 820 lives will be impacted! The funds will go towards providing a large container of 280 wheelchairs for the CRIT Coahuila in Saltillo, Mexico.

There were 6 Our Lady of Guadalupe lithographs given out to donors of $500 or more and many donation envelopes handed out.

Thank you so much Fr. John for your wonderful support of this mission again this year and to Brother Michael Kubrna for his great job again of coordinating the event and helping at all Masses. Thanks also to the other Brother Knights that helped. And many thanks to the St. John Nepomucene parishioners for their kindness and generosity in providing all these life changing gifts of mobility for children in need.

My apologies for the delay in sending this email but I was out of the country until September 4th. Michael able I were able to get together today to discuss your successful weekend.

God bless all of you.

Blessings,
Mark Dama
