I’m a little late in getting this out … it’s been a busy week (again). Attached is a composite of the presentations planned for the Hispanic Initiative meeting. Thanks to Freddy & his presentation, I used this to add some of the missing info. Slides are in both English & Spanish but I’ll probably separate into English & Spanish versions.
Anyways, Mike, Jake, & John … I took some notes on your presentations but I was not able to capture the key points in your talks. For example, Mike you talked about 5 key priorities for the Diocese but I only capture Membership, Charity, Safe Environment, & our Hispanic community (Initiative). Jake I have similar notes for your presentation, What the DDC is (conduit from Order to members, Platform for Diocesan pgms & communications), DDC programs, and next meeting. John pretty much the same … discussion on change, need (& incentive) for bilingual FAs & your history with the Bob Straus tourney. Please let me know what information you’d like to capture so I can add your information slides & we’ll get these to Jorge. Thanks!
FYI … looking at the Sign-up sheets, we had 2 Diocesan Deputies, 4 District Deputies, 3 members from our Insurance team, plus 36 other members representing 13 councils including 1 council from Ft Worth. Thanks to all of you for helping promote & support this event! Any feedback on how to make our next sessions better will be greatly appreciated.

- Provides a platform to communicate, track and organize diocesan projects and programs (RSVP, Committee of 1000, American Wheelchair Mission,etc.).
- Builds and maintains digital tools (kofcdallas.org) to communicate and transact business and to support Safe Environment compliance.
- Creates and executes dedicated dedicated diocesan K of C events (IE Clergy Appreciation Banquet, Bob Stras Memorial Basketball Tournament)
- Conducts periodic meetings to promote communication, fellowship, networking and learning.
- Supports the work of the Dallas Diocesan Deputy and his Team
- Is the Marketing and Information Entity for the Dallas Diocese Knights
- Next DDC meeting is October 12th –Will be held @ Prince of Peace in Plano (note – this is a location change)
