Holy Family of Nazareth Wheelchair Sunday
Father Jacob and Brother Knights,
Holy Family of Nazareth Council #5243 in Irving, and the Dallas Diocese, held a successful 3rd Annual Wheelchair Sunday over the weekend. They collected $8,383 for 56 wheelchairs. Since it is estimated that each wheelchair delivered changes and improves an average of 10 lives, they will impact the lives of 560 people.
Their funds will go towards providing a large container of 280 wheelchairs for the Los Cabos CRIT Center in Mexico.
There were 8 Our Lady of Guadalupe lithographs given out to donors of $500 or more and many donation envelopes handed out.
Thank you so much to Fr. Jacob Dankasa for his awesome support of this mission and to Brother Loren Hedrick for again coordinating the event and for helping and reading the pulpit talk at all 5 Masses. Thanks also to the other Brother Knights that helped and to the Holy Family of Nazareth parishioners for their kindness and generosity in providing all these wheelchairs for children in need. Dear Fr. Jacob and Brother Knights,
Thank you once again for your wonderful support of our life-changing mission.
With each wheelchair we deliver, prayers of entire families are answered. When children can go to school and be included in society, their lives become what they always hoped and dreamed they would.
The collaboration we enjoy with Pastors, Knights of Columbus, and parishioners across Texas allows us to act as tools in God’s hands, doing His work on earth.
