Fr. Bass and Brother Knights,
Our Lady of Angels Council 13044, in Allen and the Dallas Diocese, held a very successful 7th Annual Wheelchair Sunday over the past two weekends. They collected $22,153 at the Masses, and $450 was received online, for a total of $22,603 for 150 wheelchairs.
Since it is estimated that each wheelchair delivered changes and improves an average of 10 lives, they will impact the lives of 1,500 people.
Their funds will go towards providing a large container of 280 wheelchairs for the Yucatán CRIT Center in Merida, Mexico.
There were 2 Our Lady of Guadalupe lithographs given to donors of $500 or more.
Thank you so much to Fr. Wade Bass for his awesome support and to Brother Brad Meyer for coordinating the event all 7 years, helping at all the masses and reading the pulpit talk. Thanks also to Brad’s daughter, Morgan, who again read the pulpit talks her Dad. Many thanks to the Our Lady of Angels parishioners for their generosity in providing all these life changing gifts of mobility.
Dear Fr. Bass and Brother Knights,
Thank you again so much for your wonderful support.
We are working this week at the Teleton Center for Children in Saltillo, Mexico. When I look into the hopeful eyes of the children and their parents, who will receive our wheelchairs, I see God’s love for his children through the work you are allowing us to do.
God bless you for helping us to answer their prayers.
Most Sincerely,
Chris
