Father James and Brother Knights,
St. Joseph Council #8417 in Waxahachie, and the Dallas Diocese, held a very successful 5th Wheelchair Sunday over the weekend as they raised their highest total ever. They collected $12,790, plus received $300 before the weekend, for a total raised of $13,090 for 87 wheelchairs.
Since it is estimated that each wheelchair delivered changes and improves an average of 10 lives, they will impact the lives of 870 people! Their funds will go towards providing a large container of 280 wheelchairs for the Aguascalientes CRIT Center in Mexico.
All 8 Our Lady of Guadalupe lithographs brought were given out to donors of $500 or more.
Thank you so much to Fr. James Yamauchi for his wonderful support again by reading the pulpit announcement at all the Masses. Thanks also to Grand Knight Eric Valdez for all his efforts in coordinating the event, to Field Agent Luke Smolka for helping at all 4 Masses and to the other Brother Knights that helped. And thank you to the St. Joseph parishioners for their kindness and generosity in providing all these wheelchairs for children in need.
Dear Fr. James and Brother Knights,
Thank you so much for your generous continuing support of our life-changing mission.
We are humbled by the generosity of parishioners across Texas and know that each wheelchair delivered will answer the prayers of an entire family.
We so greatly appreciate all of the personal efforts put into supporting our mission and thank God for the ability to do His work on earth.
With sincere thanks,
Chris

That’s amazing!
I’m sorry I couldn’t be there. We had a planned vacation in Mexico but I know council 8417 would step up to the challenge.
