St. Michael the Archangel Wheelchair Sunday

Father Marco and Brother Knights,

St. Michael’s Council #10523 in Grand Prairie, and the Dallas Diocese, held a successful 2nd Wheelchair Sunday over the weekend. They collected $12,636 plus received $200 before the weekend, for a total raised of $12,836 for 85 wheelchairs.

Since it is estimated that each wheelchair delivered changes and improves an average of 10 lives, 850 lives will be impacted! Their funds will go towards providing a large container of 280 wheelchairs for the Tamaulipas CRIT Center in Mexico.

There were 8 Our Lady of Guadalupe lithographs given out to donors of $500 or more and many donation envelopes handed out.

Thank you so much to Fr. Marco Rangel for his awesome support of this mission by allowing the Knights to show a video and speak at all 5 Masses. Thanks also to Brother Ed Romack for his great job of coordinating the event, speaking at the 4 English Masses and helping at all the Masses. Grateful to the other Brother Knights that helped and many thanks to the St. Michael the Archangel parishioners for their kindness and generosity in providing all these life changing gifts of mobility for children in need.
