The Knights of Columbus Texas State Council 119th Convention in Dallas

If I had to pick only one word to describe this past weekend, it would have to be OUTSTANDING!!!!! The hard work and efforts each of you and your teams did to make this Convention a success was evident in every aspect of the presentation. I am so very proud to have had the opportunity to work with ALL of you over the past few years to make this happen.

I tried to seek out each of you individually to express my gratitude for all you did and if I missed anybody, I sincerely apologize. As I walked around the convention arena, the suites, the classrooms etc., all I noticed were people enjoying themselves and having a good time. Your Green Shirts were evident and every person that asked for help, received it! In my conversations with the Cardinal, the four Bishops and Fr. Mel and several Priests in attendance, they were all extremely complimentary of our efforts and were having a great time as well!

Please pass along our gratitude to all your Councils and the membership for all the assistance they gave behind the scenes. Please also thank the delegates that attended. When I looked around the Caucus room, I was in shock to have close to 80 Brother Knights assembled!! That is a tribute to the team we have assembled here in Dallas and for that I am grateful!

As we passed the torch to the Diocese of Galveston-Houston to host the 2024 State Convention, DD Ron Frerich said we set the bar pretty high! That is all due to each of you and thank you so very much!

God Bless you and yours,

Mike Courtney
