Diaconate Program Support
Do you support the idea of creating a diaconate support program within the Dallas Diocese? Good interest has been expressed in creating a program for those seeking to serve our community as a deacon.
The diocesan diaconate formation is now running three concurrent classes and the costs to each candidate is significant.
In 2013, Council 7850 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Plano began funding some of these needs with a $2,000 donation each year and they would love to see other Dallas area councils join them to help offset expenses for each diaconate candidate.
Getting the DDC and our councils behind this effort could launch a powerful new program and spotlight for Dallas and would give our councils a greater connection to the diaconate program.
