Knights of Columbus Silver Rose Schedule, Spring 2025
The Silver Rose Procession for 2025 will be coming through the Dallas Diocese arriving Saturday April 26 from Puerto Rico, and scheduled to be passed on to the Fort Worth Diocese May 20, 2025. The Silver Rose program is a pro-Life activity, as summarized below.
To optimize the use of the Silver Rose in our Diocese, If you are interested in hosting a Silver Rose Service, please reply to me as soon as possible with your desired primary and 2 alternate dates and time, and provide your Council, Parish, Address, Point of Contact, phone and email. Once again, I will be asking the DDC website admin to help post the schedule on the DDC > Programs > Silver Rose page, and I will be asking the POCs of the hosting councils to pass the Silver Rose and materials to the next council. Service program booklets are available in English and Spanish.
- The Silver Rose Faith In Action program demonstrates the unity between Knights of Columbus in Canada, the United States and Mexico, through a series of prayer services promoting the dignity of all human life, and honoring Our Lady.
- Every stop the Silver Rose makes throughout the pilgrimage is a rosary-centered occasion to pray for respect for life.
- The Silver Rose is Processed into the church or gathering space, and a rosary prayer service is held with the gathered community of Knights, Parishioners, and Community Members
- The Silver Rose Rosary Prayer Service consists of four parts:
- Rosary for the Intention of Protection of the Sanctity of Life
- Liturgy of the Word (Reading, Psalm, Gospel)
- Act of Consecration and Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary
- Final Blessing
- Hosting a Silver Rose Ceremony fulfills a Pro Life Requirement in the Faith In Action Programs for the Star Council Award
- Prayer books in either English or Spanish Language are provided.
