St. Michael the Archangel Wheelchair Sunday Update

Father Joe and Brother Knights,

St. Michael the Archangel Council #10523 in Grand Prairie and the Dallas Diocese held a very successful first ever Wheelchair Sunday over the weekend. $13,312 was collected at the Masses and $1,450 was received online, for a total of $14,762 for 98 wheelchairs. Since it is estimated that each wheelchair delivered changes and improves an average of 10 lives, they will make an immediate impact in the lives of 980 people.

Their funds will go towards providing a large container of 280 wheelchairs for the Guerrero CRIT Center in Acapulco, Mexico. More funds are expected as many parishioners took donation forms home with them.

Thank you so much to Fr. Joe Trinh for his awesome support. He allow the Knights to show a video and speak at all the Masses and encouraged parishioners to help with this mission.  Thank you very much to District Deputy Ed Romack for coordinating the event, speaking at the 4 English Masses and helping at all the Masses. Thanks also to the parishioners for their wonderful generosity as 14 lithographs were handed out to donors of $500 or more.  And thank you to the Brother Knights that helped at the Masses by collecting donations and handing out donation forms. God bless all of you.
Blessings,
Brother Bill Weber
