Council 830 Annual Golf Tournament
Another successful golf tournament was held on Saturday, September 11 by Council 830 at Tanglewood Golf Course in Denison. More than $20,000 was collected for the scholarship fund to help local scholars with college expenses. In the last seven years more than $70,000 has been awarded to local youth. According to tourney chair SK Mike Riley, approximately half the money is given directly to students with the other half going to building a perpetual fund to provide future students with the needed monies.
