Hike for Life 2023
Sept 30 – Oct 28 – Various locations

This is the 50th Anniversary of the Hike for Life – Started in 1973 in a direct response to Roe v Wade, the H4L has been working to defend Life and ensure that Pro-Life ministries have the funds they need to defend and protect Life.

The Hike for Life belongs to each and every Knight in Dallas, so I am asking that you support the Hike on ots 50th anniversary like never before.

Never been to a Hike – go
Never contributed – collect a few dollars and sponsor someone
Never volunteered at a Hike – consider doing so.

Always go to a Hike – Please come back!

Last year the Dallas area Hikes supported these ministries:

• White Rose Pregnancy Center – $30,000
• Birth Choice Pregnancy Center – $30,000
• Mater Filius Maternity Home – $10,000
• Bella House Maternity Home – $10,000
• In My Shoes Maternity Home – $10,000
• Missionaries of Charity – $10,000
• Catholic Pro-Life Community – $10,000
• Option Line – $1,000
• Guadalupe Radio Network – $1,000

Each of the ministries are hoping that we can provide then with the same funds or more – but it will not just happen – I need as many Knights and their families to Hike for Life. When you Hike – you are helping moms and saving babies!

National Sidewalk Advocacy Conference
Friday, October 6 – Sunday, October 8 – DFW Marriott North in Irving, Texas

The event, hosted by Sidewalk Advocates for Life, will bring together powerful, pro-life voices and leading strategists from And Then There Were None, Live Action, Family Research Council, 40 Days for Life, Students for Life of America, Heartbeat International, American Assoc. of Pro-Life OBGYNs (and so many more!) to discuss pro-life outreach on all “life’s sidewalks,” from the pregnancy resource center to our churches, our campuses, our homes, and online.

Topics include:

• Dangerous DIY-home abortion drugs
• Transgender services
• The sex-trafficking crisis

Our goal is to unite individuals who are deeply committed to defending the dignity of every human life, and the Knights of Columbus are definitely at the top of that list! To that end, we’d like to offer all Knights and their family members a discount using the code “KOC” at checkout.

Our Pregnancy Resource Centers need your donations of clothing, diapers, and other items

Both the White Rose and Birth Choice are in need of the following:

• Diapers – 2 through 6 and newborn
• Baby Wipes
• Rash cream
• Baby wash
• Baby Lotion

Both are in need of volunteers also to counsel and help in other ways.

Consider hosting a Baby Shower at your parish for one of both PRC’s.

Spend some time with Jesus – and help shut down an abortion clinic while doing it

Adoration is each First Friday of the month at Birth Choice with the intention that Southwest Surgical (in the same complex) stops performing abortions.
