At their Annual Organizational Meeting on Saturday, July 22nd 2023, The Knights of Columbus of the Dallas Diocese honored Father Rudy Garcia, Pastor of St. Francis of Assisi in Frisco, as Knights of Columbus Dallas Chapter “Chaplain of the Year” for the 2022/23 fraternal year.

If I had to pick only one word to describe this past weekend, it would have to be OUTSTANDING!!!!! The hard work and efforts each of you and your teams did to make this Convention a success was evident in every aspect of the presentation.

Thank you so very much for all your help and support in making our Diocesan Mid-Year Meeting a success! Your presentations were spot on and the delivery was outstanding! We had 106 members attending in person and an additional 40 tuned in via Zoom! Thanks Ben for making that happen!

On December 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 2022, the 59th Knights of Columbus Bob Stras Dallas Classic High School Basketball Tournament was concurrently held at Bishop Lynch High School and at Jesuit Dallas.
Catholic Charities in Laredo was in desperate need of clothing for immigrant families. Bishop Greg Kelly asked Dallas St. Vincent de Paul if they could help. The Dallas St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store agreed to supply clothes and asked if the Knights in Dallas could deliver them.
Thank you to all that attended our Diocesan Organizational Meeting this past Saturday. We had 117 bother Knights attend, breakdown is listed below! Please thank your GK’s, FS and DGK’s that were in attendance. It is always our hope that the information shared will help each council continue to strive and expand on the great works they are all doing.
Once again, the Lord moves in mysterious ways. I attended the Council 7850 Membership Meeting last night (St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Plano) and before the meeting Brother Dave Rosengrants asked me if I was the one who sent out the notice about that guy from North Carolina who was seeking aid and companionship from the Knights in the Dallas Diocese.

Brother Knights, Attached is the final report of the Wheelchair Mission Donations by Diocese and Council for fraternal year 2021-2022.
Thank you and God bless you to the 40 Dallas Diocese Councils and 3 Assemblies listed below that donated $378,680 to the American Wheelchair Mission to provide 2,524 wheelchairs in fraternal year 2021-2022.
As we enter the final week on the Fraternal Year, I wish to thank each of you for all the hard and smart work each of you performed in the past year.
